I hope this finds you well and that it is not too late to wish you a Happy New Year.
We are delighted to announce that the Soper Hall is now licensed as a wedding venue. This brilliant news means that couples who would prefer to have a non-religious service can be married at our beautiful heritage building in the centre of Caterham. Due to the fact that the Hall is exceptionally well linked to rail and road networks and can seat up to 120 people in glorious wood panelled surroundings we anticipate that it will prove to be a very popular venue. Indeed, it means that couples can get married and have a reception all at the same place! The license also allows us to hold naming ceremonies, renewal of wedding vows etc.
This, in addition to the regular bookings we now have, means that the Soper Hall is fast becoming THE venue for events and celebrations of all kinds. The hall is hired every evening now with our latest regular booking being a Monday evening bootcamp in addition to the yoga (three classes), Zumba, pilates, guitar, dance and fencing classes, self help therapy etc., which are all currently held at the hall.
All our events over Christmas were very well attended and we have just held a very successful wedding fair. Our Farmers Markets are still extremely popular and the next one is due to be held on Sunday 7th February – please come along to sample some delicious food and special treats.
We are also in the process of applying for three separate sets of grant funding which if successful will fund improvements to the front of the building, damp-proofing and additional disabled facilities.
All in all, not a bad start to the year!

With best wishes
